Well, the countdown is on! We're officially moving to Guatemala in 54 days. Mark booked our flights today. We will be departing Knoxville on July 26th at 7:00 am and arriving in Guatemala City at 11:41 am. Eliza will celebrate her 3rd birthday by riding on a plane & getting to eat some cake in Antigua! We will be returning to Knoxville for several weeks on December 17th at 4:00 pm to celebrate Christmas, meet some new members of our family who will be born while we're gone, and have a break from the rainy season.
We had been praying that God would make it very clear through our financial support that this was still an open door for our family. Specifically, we were praying that we would have $45,000 either pledged or given by June 1st. On May 31st, we received an e-mail pledging almost to the dollar getting us to that $45,000 mark!! How awesome that even when we throw out a fleece to the Lord, His providence and His grace are Good and Astounding!
We aren't finished raising support, so please pray for us as we continue that effort. Pray for us as we begin to work out many of the finer details (registration for language school, apartment for our month in school, insurance, wilderness & pediatric first aid training, packing, renting or selling our house, etc.).
